Weight Loss Dietitian in Oklahoma City
Personalized Weight Loss Nutrition Counseling That Fits Your Life
Are you tired of trying diet after diet without getting the results you want?
Maybe you’ve lost weight before, only to regain it. Maybe you’re eating relatively healthy but aren’t seeing the changes you’re hoping for. Or perhaps you’re overwhelmed by conflicting information about calories, carbohydrates, protein, intermittent fasting, GLP-1 medications, and what you should actually be eating.
You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
At Life Nutrition, I provide in-person, personalized weight loss and weight management nutritional counseling in Oklahoma City. Virtual/telehealth appointments are available as well.
Rather than following a one-size-fits-all diet, we’ll create a nutrition approach based on your body, your health, your lifestyle, your preferences, and your goals.
Your goal isn’t just to lose weight. It’s to build a healthier you.
Meet Your Oklahoma City Weight Loss Dietitian
I’m Erin Martin, RDN/LD, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and the founder of Life Nutrition.
I’ve been a Registered Dietitian since 2009 and earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Sciences with an emphasis in Nutritional Sciences from Oklahoma State University.
I became a Dietitian because I wanted to help people become the healthiest version of themselves and help people prevent and manage disease through nutrition.
Over the years, I’ve helped clients work toward weight loss, healthier eating habits, improved body composition, and better overall health.
My approach is personalized, realistic, and sustainable. I don’t believe you need to follow an extreme diet or completely eliminate the foods you enjoy to make progress. Instead, we’ll focus on changes that you can realistically maintain.
What Makes Life Nutrition Different?
Personalized—not cookie-cutter
Your nutrition plan should be based on you.
We’ll consider your health history, medications, lifestyle, food preferences, activity level, eating habits, challenges, and goals when developing your nutrition recommendations.
Sustainable—not another temporary diet
The goal isn’t to lose weight as quickly as possible and then figure out what to do afterward.
We’ll work toward sustainable habits that can help you maintain your progress over time.
Evidence-based—not based on the latest social media trend
There is an incredible amount of conflicting nutrition information online.
I’ll help you understand what actually matters for your health and separate evidence-based nutrition from the latest diet trend.
Supportive—not judgmental
You don’t have to be perfect.
We’ll identify what’s working, what’s getting in your way, and what changes will have the biggest impact.
What Can Weight Loss Nutrition Counseling Help With?

Weight Loss While Taking a GLP-1 Medication
If you’re taking a GLP-1 medication for weight management, nutrition still matters.
Medications such as GLP-1s can change appetite, food intake, digestion, and the way you approach meals. Making sure you’re getting adequate protein, fiber, fluids, vitamins, and minerals can be an important part of supporting your health during weight loss.
At Life Nutrition, we can help you develop nutrition strategies that fit your medication and individual needs. We can work on:
- Adequate protein intake
- Maintaining lean muscle
- Fiber and digestive health
- Hydration
- Managing nausea or other nutrition-related side effects
- Building balanced meals when appetite is low
- Preventing overly restrictive eating
- Long-term weight maintenance

Weight Loss Isn’t Just About the Number on the Scale
One of the things we can focus on is body composition, not just body weight.
Losing weight doesn’t necessarily mean losing body fat. For many people, the goal is to reduce body fat while maintaining—or potentially building—lean muscle.
At Life Nutrition, body-composition measurements may be incorporated into your nutrition journey when appropriate, allowing us to look at changes beyond the scale.
What to Expect at Your First Appointment
Your first nutrition counseling appointment is about getting to know you. We’ll discuss:
1. Your goals
What would you like to change, and why is it important to you?
2. Your current eating habits
We’ll look at what you’re currently eating and identify opportunities for improvement.
3. Your health history
Medical conditions, medications, laboratory values, family history, and other factors may all be relevant to your nutrition plan.
4. Your lifestyle
We’ll consider your schedule, work, family, exercise, sleep, stress, and other factors that affect your ability to make changes.
5. Your challenges
Maybe you struggle with evening eating, cravings, eating out, meal planning, portion sizes, emotional eating, or simply not knowing what to eat.
We’ll identify the barriers that are keeping you from reaching your goals and develop practical strategies to address them.
What Your Personalized Plan May Include
Depending on your individual needs, your nutrition recommendations may include:
- Personalized calorie and macronutrient goals
- Protein recommendations
- Fiber goals
- Meal planning
- Portion guidance
- Grocery-shopping strategies
- Restaurant and eating-out strategies
- Healthy snack ideas
- Strategies for managing cravings
- Nutrition education
- Behavior-change strategies
- Exercise nutrition guidance
- Supplement review
- GLP-1 nutrition support
- Body-composition monitoring
You don’t need to eat perfectly. You need to develop habits that you can continue even when life gets busy.
